Super! We are speechless to talk about Cicada Retreat. I never expected to have a home like place away from home. The place and the people are just super. We thank to the friend who connected us with the owner of Cicada Retreat. They have many guest rooms, we stayed in the family cottage. The most exciting thing for me was the interior decoration. The host have cared for every single need of a guest when they planned for this cottage. The things those are used in the cottage whether in the room or in the kitchen are of quality. I mean to mention this because usually, when things are made for business purposes, I have seen often host uses manageable items. Since the day I have contacted the owner Tashi, she had given every single information I needed to know. We are so impressed for the couple's welcoming smile and delicious food thereafter. All other family members including the seniors and the kids all are just fantastic. Very hospitable. The food is just amazing! They were inquiring every now and then for our needs with great respect to our privacy. Never allowed us to lack anything. We are so happy to spend a month in the beautiful place. Kanchanjunga is just outside the window. We enjoyed viewing Kanchanjunga from the bed and sitting at the parasol in front of the cottage (our favourite place) and the environment outside the cottage with a flower garden is just beautiful. No need to go any viewpoint to see this beautiful 3rd highest mountain of the world. We highly recommend Kalingpong visitors to stay in Cicada Retreat.
